Project Intern
NYFW S/S20
In June 2020 I started working for Eyesight Fashion & Luxury in New York City. Little did I know that the time I spent with this company would change my life forever. Because the Eyesight team is rather modest, I was able to work closely with the Project Director to ensure that all shows for the SS 20 season ran smoothly. My main task throughout my time as an intern was to ensure that pre-collections ran smoothly. I handled the supply coordination for Oscar de la Renta, R13, Kith, and Adeam pre-collections. In addition, I helped to source tailors and equipment for these projects. I was able to be most involved in Kith and R13 pre-collections, where I worked closely with teams from those brands to ensure that equipment delivery/pickup, catering, supply delivery, venue, and other details ran smoothly.
My other prominent job was to create proposals. These proposals were generally for New York area venues, but I also created proposals for scenic elements, makeup and hair artists, tailors, and catering. These proposals required extensive research into venues as well as venue walkthroughs to ensure that the space would meet clients’ needs.
One of my favorite projects that I got to work on while at Eyesight Group was for Rebecca Minkoff. I was able to assist our Technical Director in organizing a presentation to outline the color scheme of the brand’s SS20 presentation. This required me to use Adobe Photoshop to color-match images showing the contrasting color options for each scene. After creating the images, I compiled them into a presentation along with color swatches to be shown to the Rebecca Minkoff team. I was then asked to color-match renderings that were later sent to the client. Finally, I chose the gels to be used in the lighting of the presentation that would best enhance the color of the scenes.
Overall, I learned how to communicate effectively and efficiently with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. This internship greatly improved my ability to connect with various groups of people (vendors, brands, PR teams, etc.) as well as my ability to work seamlessly with a diverse team.

Production Assistant
NYFW S/S20
During my internship with Eyesight Group, I was hired by the team to work as a production assistant for eight shows throughout NYFW. Shows included Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta, R13, Self Portrait, Jonathan Simkhai, Kith, Adeam, and Noon by Noor. As production assistant, I worked with a team to set up HMU stations, arrange backstage layout, and assist with show space setup (laying benches, arranging props, etc). I also helped with backstage check-in and aided the project team in encouraging models to move through hair and makeup while answering any questions that the talent might have. During the shows I assisted the Project Director with model lineup to confirm that all models were in the correct order and knew of any quick changes they might have. Following the show finale, I would break down the show space and backstage areas and ensure that all rental equipment was accounted for.

NYFW A/W20
Following my internship, I was hired by the team to work as a production assistant for four shows and two pre-collections during NYFW. Shows included Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta, R13, and Palm Angels. As production assistant, I worked with Karl Templer and the R13 collection team to create model looks board and oversaw HMU tests during pre-collection to ensure efficient timing. I also ran errands for the pre-collection manager and stylist. On the day of shows, worked with a team to set up HMU stations, arrange backstage layout, and assist with show space setup (laying benches, arranging props, etc). I also helped with backstage check-in and aided the project team in encouraging models to move through hair and makeup while answering any questions that the talent might have.
